      Das Original The Binding of Isaac und dessen Erweiterung The Binding of Isaac: Wrath of the Lamb kennen bestimmt einige hier.

      Hier soll es um The Binding of Isaac: Rebirth gehen - ein Remake mit einer komplett neuen Engine (nicht Flash!), einem "Pseudo-16bit" Grafikstil, einem neuen Soundtrack und haufenweise neuen Räumen, Items, Gegnern, etc. Weitere neue Features beinhalten einen lokalen Co-op Modus und einen Seed-Generator (erlaubt es, einen Seed nochmal zu spielen oder mit anderen Leuten zu teilen - z.B. für Races).

      Kurz gesagt, wie spielt sich das ganze? Man steuert ein Kind Zelda-like durch Dungeons, sammelt neben den Standard-Pickups (Herzen, Münzen, Bomben, Schlüssel) aus hunderten von Items Upgrades, und bekämpft Gegner mit seinen Tränen. Das Besondere neben dem Design und der religiösen Thematik ist, dass die Maps zufällig generiert werden, sodass jeder Durchlauf eine komplett neue Herausforderung ist. Rougelike-Zelda-TopdownShooter mit RPG-Elementen quasi.

      Während Rebirth nach und nach für jede aktuelle Konsole geportet wird, steht mit The Binding of Isaac: Afterbirth bereits ein riesiges DLC-Pack in den Startlöchern.

      Der Stil ist defintiv von Meat Boy kaum zu unterscheiden, ich werde es mir bei Gelegenheit dann auch mal anschauen. ^^

      Hier ein Paar Soundtrack-Teaser. Klingt etwas "lebendiger" und düsterer als der alte Soundtrack, der mir persönlich aber auch schon gefallen hat. Zusätzlich gibt es noch Layering-Effekte, die in bestimmten Räumen hinzukommen.
