      Zhi from Cross Counter Asia has been on his Twitter posting who top players in Japan think are the strongest characters in Super Street Fighter 4 Arcade Edition v2012. If you missed it earlier this week we posted Daigo's thoughts on the strongest characters as well.

      Uryo - Seth, Akuma and Abel.
      Sako - Seth, Akuma, Fei Long, C. Viper and Dhalsim.
      Naruo - Seth, Fei Long and Ibuki.
      Tokido - Seth and E. Honda.

      Kazunoko - Seth and Ryu.
      Mago - Sagat, Balrog, Akuma, E. Honda, Abel, Cammy, Sakura, Blanka, Seth and Fei Long.
      Kindevu - Seth, Sagat, Akuma and Cammy.
      RF - Abel, Sagat, Seth, Akuma, Rufus, Sakura and Ryu.

      In total adding together everyone's including Daigo's we have

      9 votes - Seth
      7 votes - Akuma
      4 votes - Cammy and Abel
      3 votes - Fei Long, Ryu and Sagat
      2 votes - E. Honda and Sakura

      Strong characters:
      Akuma, Sagat, Honda, Vega, Rufus, Abel, Seth, Fei Long, Sakura, Cody, Adon. Then Ryu, Ken, Viper, Cammy, Makoto.

      Out of those, Akuma, Sagat, Abel, and Seth are looking like the strongest.

      Akuma got some nerfs but he still has great tools, and Yun/Yang getting nerfed really helped him out.

      Sagat has always been strong, so not getting nerfed and Fei Long/Adon getting nerfed helped him out.

      Abel got general buffs, and he was always good.

      Seth got tweaks which reduced some of his aggressiveness but overall he comes out better. Also helped having Yun/Yang nerfed.

      Honda gets his jab headbutt back, and he's always been good against non-projectile characters. When he has an advantage it's pretty lopsided which boosts him up the matchup charts on points alone.

      Vega was buffed overall, and the nerfing of Yun/Yang who just murdered him helps him overall.

      Fei Long was nerfed but is still basically a strong character.

      Overall the balance is good and there's no character that clearly dominates the rest.

      Weak characters:
      Dan still scraping the bottom, although he's been buffed since the last version.

      Hakan got buffs but his fundamental flaws haven't been addressed.

      Verdict is still out on Yun/Yang. Some feel that Yun is still viable while Yang is trash, and some feel the opposite.

      Fuerte, Gouken, Gen, and T.Hawk come up frequently in bottom tier talks.

      Am Meisten überrascht mich, dass Vega und Sakura nun als solides Hightier gehandelt, Dictator aber komplett außenvor gelassen wird. Aber jetzt nachdem ich einige andere Charaktere gespielt und auch mit Jago und Diemineon bzgl. Bison gesprochen habe, verstehe ich warum es Top Bisonspieler international so schwer haben. Durch sein wirklich extrem lineares Gameplay, welches nur schwache oder gar keine Mixups erlaubt, gehen die Gegner mehr Risiken ein - der Überraschungseffekt fehlt einfach. Bison ist einfach nur ein Footsiecharakter, welcher nur effektiv ist solange der Gegner Fehler macht. Das ist schon echt eine krasse Entgleisung, dass ein Neurosis in den Pools der EVO rausfliegt sowie Kim1234, welcher bei Godsgarden nicht über die Pools hinauskam. Das sind die stärksten Dictatorspieler der Welt, die Daigo auch oft mal den Arsch versohlen.

      Jedenfalls zieh ich daraus noch mehr Ansporn mich mit Bison noch weiter zu verbessern und das Maximum an Mixup aus ihm rauszuholen, ich hab ja schon einige Shenanigans entwickelt, welche im Longrun sich echt bewährt haben. Nach dem Wurf hat Bison auch sehr gutes Potenzial, ich werd da noch enorm rumtesten.

      Seth ist btw. ne Hure. Ne dumme Hure. 3:7 Bison yaaaaaaaaaaaaaay.

      Grundsätzlich gehe ich konform damit, AE 2012 ist wirklich sehr balanced, gefällt mir besser als Super.

      Mago's Eindrücke. Sind realistisch. Ich frag mich nur, was an Adon so geil ist, liegt aber wahrscheinlich daran, dass ich nur sehr wenig Matchup gegen ihn habe. Sein Jaguar Kick soll ja angeblich alles mögliche schlagen.

      Sehe ich ähnlich, nur dass ich Viper anstatt Adon oben sehe, Adon/Sakura teilen sich bei mir Platz 6.
