I wondered about that too. Its the first time I have ever set such a consistant pace... by the fourth lap my hands were solid stiff, I couldn't move them except for the fingers. I kept quite calm about it though which is not normally what I do, I usually get a higher heart rate and have a heart attack or something. But hopefully this is the start of a trend for better times... I'll keep focusing on 1-laps and on tracks where I am not consistant (ie. Mist Flow Clip Oval 2).

i use to have a very static postition whiel gaming. nothing moves exept for the finger tips. my pad is always pressed tightly on my knees. i could never play with the pad in the air like many others do. the weight of the pad would influence the finger on the stick too much. i haven´t tried too hard on gab so i don´t know how it feels to hold it for hours. i guess holding the control device in the air would cause the forearm to be under a little stress. whe nthe final laps begins...i start to breath in hard short beats and i increase the stress on the stick.

I play with two styles with my GBA SP:

1) Lay down and hold the GBA above your head and hold it up. This tires your arms quite quickly but you dont have light bouncing off the screen.

2) More commonly I sit back on my sofa (or against the wall on my bed), hold the GBA in the air around my stomach and play like that. Non-tiring and comfortable. I don't know why I lay down sometimes... too lazy I guess. I usually have quite flexible fingers that don't get tired but I was desperate for that WR so I played for some time. And the sacrifice payed off.

it's crap. feels totally different. the d-pad wouldn't be the problem but the shoulder-buttons are...I could never set new records with the gc-controller.

I did when I tried to record some vids but my sister's stupid TV setup screwed it up. But I didn't find it "odd", Im perfectly fine with the shoulder buttons since Ive had loads of experince at F-Zero X and DTDs. Most players I know who go from MV on the GBA to MV on the Gamecube find it odd because they usually only stick to the GBA and dont have experience of the shoulders like that. If anything its easier because it runs slightly slower than the GBA... I set a sub 2'01 on FFFF on GP Legend, when my DVD recorder and TV works Ill show you all a classy vid. Oh, and I used the stick. The D-pad felt like I was playing an updated SNES, which Im not good at, preferred the X feel.

What I did find slightly annoying was the clunky buttons were not very sensitive, so a blip off the accelerator took off a lot of speed- annoying when playing MV with the Jet Vermilion. Though I did get some very good GP mode times, since you can guess mines easier.

Tim, I understand you now have a N64 and X... please become German Champion, Daniel "snubnose" Keller is beatable. Maybe X rankings on the site?

german f-zero x champion...that's my goal. daniel keller is 23th in the world rankings, quite good. but I hope to beat him...

Three more WR 1-laps, and a new 5-lap time too thats good but not WR quality. It seems I have competition now from JoshiMan.... (I knew he'd join).

IAD2- 21"70 (This was an extremely good lap, near perfect. I saved the ghost of it and I cant beat it no matter what).

FFWC- 16"58 (thrashes the old WR time. I used a nice little trick that helps fast laps around here. I think I could sub 16"50...)

SILSIL- 14"89 (did this in just 5 minutes....)

I got an email from Dr. Randal telling me he was Swiss, so he must be right.

Good one PDM He is apparantly a Burnout specialist but even so he still sucks. He should just stick with Burnout and stay away from F-Zero. If I met him in person I'd punch him.

No idea how Randal got the pic (yes Randal is PharaohWizard), but I remember it anyways.

New SBR times, I now beat Joshiman on laps, still nearly a minute behind on 5-laps but I don't mind, he's been playing since June and Ive had it since August and played MV and X as well in that time.
